23rd May Numeracy Activity

In primary 3 we have learnt to read numbers as 674, six hundred and seventy four, 6 sets of one hundred 7 sets of ten and 4 units(ones) and 600+70+4. We call this partitioning and looking at the place value of a number. To help us practice place value we have found a great game called 'Place the penguin'. Click on the link below to have a go. Place the penguins on the right numbers on the grid.
First click on the level you would like to play. Click and drag the penguin on the left onto the right number in the top row. Then place the second penguin onto the right number in the row below that. When you feel confident try playing level 2. If you are playing level 2, you then have to place the last penguin on the right number on the bottom row.
At the end of the game, record your results in your homework book and/or play again to beat your score. Click on the link below to get started.
